  1. @ambr0zie That's a lovely looking coin!..Really sweet greeeeeen patina! I don't know if you feel the same but I find the sestertius denomination one of the nicest feel coins in hand and can become quite addictive? Here's my first Faustina I Sestertius, nowhere near as nicely detailed as the op. I Picked this one up cheaply due to wear but I do like its red/brown patina... Diva Faustina Senior. Æ Sestertius (32mm, 21.19 g.) Rome mint, struck under Antoninus Pius, circa AD 146-161. Obv. DIVA FAVSTINA draped bust right. Rev. AETERNITAS S-C seated left, holding scepter and globe surmounted by phoenix....RICIII #1103 (Antoninus Pius) Reddish-brown patina.

The inscription reads: ANTONINVS AVGVSTVS for Antoninus Augustus. Reverse: The god Sol is shown standing in front, naked except for a cloak that hangs over his left shoulder. The head is turned to the left, in the extended right hand he holds a globe, in the left hand a spear pointing downwards. The inscription reads: PONTIF TR P III for Pontifex Tribunitia Potestas for the third time.

Here's the first I acquired, a Didda rani back in the days when you could pick them up for a buck each. Diddarani 980-1003 AD Copper Kaserah or Punchshi 18mm (5.62gr) Obverse- Goddess Ardochsho/Lakshmi seated facing in half lotus position, with Nagari legend 'Sri to left 'didda' to right Reverse- Queen standing facing and sacrificing at altar holding trident, with Nagari legend 'Diva' bottom right Still picking these up as and when the price is right.. And this is my humble digital group shot that I did around 5 years ago!.. It certainly needs upgrading with a lot of new purchases to add...

  16. My only Hadrian...I do like the toning plus it was my 5th ancient coin many years ago...imo it has a cool looking portrait. Hadrian (117- 138). Rome, c. 131-138 AD.
