  1. Matches up my paper trial fairly well. All my ancestors came over by the revolutionary war.

Not here yet but excited. Eric of Pomerania Sterling of the Naestved mint of Zeeland. A bit underweight (i assume from the chip) at .45g
  3. Love those copper farthings minted under James I and Charles! Very gun gun money as well. I need something of James ii as a slot filler.
  4. Welp folks it’s only about a week away from Saint Patrick’s day. I mostly collect English coins from the time of the Celtic Britons til the modern day and Roman coins minted in western mints. Yet I’ve picked up a few Irish pieces, my favorite being this Irish farthing!feel free to post your own Irish coins!
  5. Mine has a tiny bit of silvering left and heavily corroded (you see it more in hand) but to be honest I like this MARTI PROPVGNATORI type enough to not mind itsflaws..
  6. Postumus Antoninianus, struck under Aureolus 267/268 AD at Milan mint. Obv: IMP C POSTVMVS P F AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev: VIRTVS EQVITVM / S (in exergue), Hercules standing right, right hand resting on hip, left hand holding lion's skin and club which rests on rock. RIC 389; Elmer 619; AGK 113; Cunetio 2497 It has no silvering but an amazing portrait for these types and a rare reverse.
  7. Many of you may have known me from cointalk as “coincommanderavgvstvs” or from discord. Regardless, I’m happy to be on the new forum and post some of my top pics! Honestly, was a weird year for me both in my personal life and collecting life, yet I’ve gotten a few pieces I really cherish. I’m away from my coins for the meantime but I do have this group picture. I plan on updating this thread with better attributions/photos soon when I get back! From left to right top to bottom 1. Aurelian Antoninianus stuck at rome featuring sol invictus on the back (who doesn’t love Aurelian) 2. A very nice Leo VI “the wise” follis. (Got to love the style Byzantine coins had) 3. An Irish Woods farthing of George I (these weren’t really respected in the isles and were shipped to the states) 4. A beautiful 1891 Morgan given to me by my gramps 5. Kaiser Wilhelm ii “willy” 1903 5 marks 6. Magnus Maximus “Macsen Wledig” Arles mint AE2 383-8 AD 7. An early issue Irish farthing of Edward I, Dublin mint 8. Edward I penny minted at Berwick with local dies 9. a Yuan dynasty Külüg Khan Zhi Da Tong Bao 1308-131 10. Empire of Thessalonica Theodore Komnenus-Doukas, bronze trachy, 1224-1230 AD
