Some excellent comparisons !
You may not know him since he was a french actor, probably unknown abroad, but I've always found Lino Ventura to look like Marcus Antonius

My first purchase of importance arrived earlier this week. I'm very pleased to welcome in my trays echoes what I was writing four months ago :

I would certainly love a Caligula sestertius, and yours isn't so bad @JayAg47
My only coin of his, isn't very bad, but is pitted too, through an otherwise nice glossy patina, giving it hard time to take good pictures of (i didn't succeed so far)

Glad to have good news from Sev. I'm thinking of him almost everyday since I visited him in september 2022 while touring British Columbia and Alberta with my wife. We had planned a day together to have fun, eat somewhere out and discuss coins (of course). Unfortunately he'd been admited to hospital two days before our arrival, so the whole thing turned into a short visit in the hospital patio. That was great anyway, Sev is a very nice human being and we wish we had more time together. He promised he would visit us in France in return .... Sev, you know you have to go through all that mess and keep your word !!

I am not sure how only part of the strike could be doubled,
It sometimes happens, for some reason I can't explain myself. See below a french royal quart d'ecu minted for Henri III (not mine anymore) where the legend erroneously reads HENRICVCVS instead of HENRICVS with only a very light doubling on the N of FRAN on the opposite. Other than that, the die shift/double strike doesn't seem to affect much the devices
