LOL, I still remember thumping this down on a @ryro post where he was saying how Great Makedon was (yeah, I have his exact sentiments), but it was FUN to show how ROME rolled over them...

Mysia Pergamon Tetradrachm 12.4g 26mm Cisto mystica with serpents - snakes KP 85-76 BCE
I believe there were minted during the time Sulla was wreaking havoc in Asia. I alwo beleive that I read in Kenneth Harl's "Coinage of the Roman Economy" that there were actually tariffed at 3 Denarii as payment.

I've only got a couple hammered coins.
This is my first ever hammered that I unknowingly bought from @Ryro
Henry III, Shortcross Half Penny, Moneyer Rauf, London
Another of my favorites is this little pfennig from Ingolstadt, Bavaria
Rudolph I & Ludwig IV, 1294-1317, Bavaria - Ingolstadt, 1 Pfennig
PS - That is NOT a donkey....it's a panther....oh how far the die engravers had fallen from the height of the Greek and Roman ages to the middle ages...
I dunno... it looks like Shrek's DONKEY to me! 😄 😄 😄
