Spargrodan Posted March 23 · Member Share Posted March 23 Hi everyone, old and new faces! I took a break and have been out of action for a while and actually sold all my coins in 2022 due to a new job and move to another country. Now I was thinking of diving back into collecting again and saw that the conversation has moved to this forum due to what happened on CT. Anyways I'm happy to be back and as I’m writing this I’m thinking of what area I should dive into for starting a new collection. My idea this time is trying to get a set of the diadochi (Phillip III, Antigonus, Ptolemy, Lysimachos, Seleukos, Cassander) and take it from there. Tips and ideas are most welcome! 🙂

David Atherton Posted March 23 · Member Share Posted March 23 Welcome back to the fold! Stay away from Flavians, they're overrated. 3
Spargrodan Posted March 23 · Member Author Share Posted March 23 (edited) Thanks @CPK! @David Atherton thanks! I can't promise I won't revisit the Flavians again it indeed is a very interesting area to collect for a reason. 😉But for now don't worry, my interest is on other topics. 😊 Edited March 23 by Spargrodan
expat Posted March 23 · Supporter Share Posted March 23 Welcome back. I can´t help with that sphere of coinage, but whatever you decide to collect I am sure you will enjoy the thrill of caretaking some items of history. Good luck and enjoy.
Ocatarinetabellatchitchix Posted March 23 · Member Share Posted March 23 Nice to see you back. If I recall correctly, you were from Sweden. Where are you now ?
Spargrodan Posted March 23 · Member Author Share Posted March 23 (edited) @expat Thanks! No worries I think we have experts here to help cover a lot of different areas. @Ocatarinetabellatchitchix Thanks, yes that is correct your memory is good. I moved to Spain and I've fulfilled a life goal to live in the middle of roman ruins and the winds of history. I'm thinking of trying to start with tetradrachms and assemble a serie of the most important profiles from this time and keep adding to it. But it truly was a messy time and a lot of greedy generals wanting their fair share of the cake after the death of Alexander. Thanks @Roman Collector. 🙂
