ab6677 Posted February 9 · Member Share Posted February 9 I've recently acquired a tetradrachm of the Alexander, however I am unsure about its mint. The problem is that according to the description its apparently Odessus mint, however, I've looked at the Alexander from that mint and they look quite different. The description says that it was minted around 275-270 BC. Thank you for any help!
zadie Posted February 9 · Member Share Posted February 9 This is Price 572. Price narrows down the issue to 275 BCE - 270 BCE in about Pella or Amphipolis: https://numismatics.org/pella/id/price.572

The type is pretty rare, only two in Pella and a further two that I could find on acsearch. However, yours isn't in the greatest of shapes. I'd say $200-250 hammer at the right venue should be possible without much fuss.
