Benefactor kirispupis Posted June 30, 2022 · Benefactor Benefactor Posted June 30, 2022 Hello everyone. While perusing coins on Marc Breitspecher's site, I found this very rare bronze from Astypalaia. Curious, I researched it a bit to find the following. It was a major naval base for Ptolemy II and later The island is absolutely gorgeous, even by Greek standards SInce I haven't been there, I won't post someone else's photo, but I'm sure Marc doesn't mind me using his photo of the coin until I receive mine (which is already in the mail despite me ordering it just today). I've therefore made a resolution to visit this island and take some awesome photos. It will be part of an overall Greece trip that we'll do eventually. In the meantime, I picked up this souvenir to remind me. It's a bit pitted, but I like the details. Feel free to show your coins from places you want to go! 22 Quote

We travelled to Spain a few years ago and loved it. We didn't get to the site of Obulco, but we did go to Cordoba - which isn't far away. 5 1 1 Quote
