expat Posted September 8 · Supporter Share Posted September 8 (edited) Received this morning. Couple of things, what is it likely to be dated as and why does this example appear to have half a shield? The dealers description is as follows, Faustina II AR Denarius, 18mm, 3.27g. RIC 495a, RSC 15, BMC 1099 FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, draped bust right / AVGVSTI PII FIL, Venus standing left holding Victory and resting hand on shield set on a helmet. Any additional info would be gratefully received. Thanks Edited September 8 by expat

Your dates correspond to those. That is correct, based on a combination of Clay's work and Beckmann. August 156-late 157.
