expat Posted September 8, 2023 · Supporter Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) Received this morning. Couple of things, what is it likely to be dated as and why does this example appear to have half a shield? The dealers description is as follows, Faustina II AR Denarius, 18mm, 3.27g. RIC 495a, RSC 15, BMC 1099 FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, draped bust right / AVGVSTI PII FIL, Venus standing left holding Victory and resting hand on shield set on a helmet. Any additional info would be gratefully received. Thanks Edited September 8, 2023 by expat 9 Quote

August 156-late 157. See my essay here. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/faustina-friday-–-the-avgvsti-pii-fil-reverse-types.385171/ 1 Quote
