Not ancient, but a very old goal of mine achieved for my coin collecting bucket list.

Today I went to an auction. The auctioneer is a freind of mine and he has sold several hundred lots for me in the past.  I shall be returning to him to do it again but to keep on his good side, I just had to show up today.

I went with these 4 lots in mind. They were not cheap but I did get a much better deal than if I bought them at a shop or on eBay or a coin show.

Finally after 40 years I can say I have every Franklin Half dollar in proof and uncirculated condition. All of them are very nice in my set.

I don't know much about my set as far as full bell lines and cameo proofs go. It doesn't matter too much to me. They are all awesome in my opinion. I got the last 4 today and they are residing in proof sets. 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953. The last 4 holes are filled.

It was all I bought today.

( My wife was with me)  . . . . LOL!

I took these pictures for inventory when I got home.
