  1. Oh hey - I recognize that coin! I originally found that in a Leu bulk lot - their lot photo only showed the reverse, so it was a pleasant surprise when it arrived. Glad it found its permanent home in your collection.
  2. This is all from a US perspective, just based on recent experiences with these auction houses: CNG - very cheap and quick shipping (to be expected for a US-US transaction) Gut-Lynt - VERY expensive (90 euros!). The shipping process they used (some mode of DHL) was very slow, especially given the price HD Rauch - affordable, a couple weeks to process shipment Heritage - cheap and quick Kunker - cheap, but sometimes very slow to process shipment Leu - affordable, but always very slow to process shipment Naville - affordable and quick Noonan's - affordable, but can take some time to process shipment. Also, on the last package I received from them they marked it as a gift and used a very low customs value. I'd prefer they didn't do that. Tauler y Fau - quite expensive and slow to process shipment (they warn ahead of time this is due to export requirements)
  3. I purchased a bulk lot of Republic denarii earlier this year - while I sold most of the others, I had to keep this one for myself. Q. Lutatius Cerco, 109-108 BC. AR denarius 19 mm, 3.96 g. Rome. ROMA CERCO behind and before head of Roma right, wearing crested helmet decorated with plume and two stars, star (mark of value) behind head. Q•LVTATI Q, Galley right in oak wreath. Babelon (Lutatia) 2. Crawford 305/1. RBW 1146. Sydenham 559; Sear 182.
