What a wonderful collection of silver pieces @CassiusMarcus.
Back when I was putting together my Top 10 way back in 2017, I made a collage photo of my top coins for the year. The collage was partially inspired by the thought of finding the coins hidden in an ancient container.
Now that’s awesome!

Seleucid Empire, Antiochos I Soter (281-261 BC) AR Tetradrachm, mint of Magnesia ad Sipylum, 16.73g. Diademed head of Antiochos I facing right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ – ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟY, Herakles, holding club, seated left on rock draped with lion skin, monograms in exergue.
I really like this Herakles reverse because it's a bit harder to come across, most of the Seleucids that come up have Apollo as the deity. I was very happy to find this one at auction last year 😄- 15

Hi
just read some of the latest replies here and realized maybe I was not supposed to use the cabinet feature?
I uploaded two listings but I’m not sure if the feature is down or not encouraged to be used. Sorry if that’s the case! 😓

my current gold pieces that I am most happiest with, I have two byzantine issues, one solidus and one histamenon which are not photographed here, but I think that they ruin the vibe of these 4 haha!
I'm really hoping to get a Lysimachos Stater, Alexander Athena Stater and an Aureus (no aureii in my collection yet! 😔)
What is a gold issue that's on your want list right now??- 13

Hi all,
Not sure if this is properly how to post something from your collection.. so please delete it or let me know where I should do this instead.
I'd like to share my personal favourite tet from my collection. King Perseus of Macedon
Perseus is an interesting character for sure. He very much tried to embody the warrior king spirit in the vein of his predecessors and of course, Alexander, but the Roman war machine was all too powerful at that point. Hot off the heels of defeating Carthage and sights on the whole of the Mediterranean, Perseus would be nothing but a little road bump in their domination.Currently my favourite tetradrachm of my collection, I really love the fierce portrait, toning and some hints of iridescent colour on this guy. It's a great size and struck under the master engraver Zoilos!diademed head right, rev., ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΕΡΣΕΩΣ, eagle standing right on thunderbolt with three monograms in the field and all within oak wreath; below, plough, 17.00g, die axis 11.00- 17

Hello all,
This is my first post on the forum I'm excited to get to know everyone and check out some of your awesome collections, learn stuff and talk with like-minded people.
Here are my two recent pickups from LEU. I primarily collect tetradrachm of the Diadochi but I got something quite different this time and went for a Persian Daric. As well as a tet of Antiochos the Great, one of my favourite Seleucid Kings. I'm really in love with the strike on this tetradrachm and the detail on it, I have had a hard time finding one of Antiochos III that stood out to me so this one has fit that bill..
let me know what you think!SELEUKID KINGS. Antiochos III ‘the Great’, 222-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.69 g, 12 h), Nisibis, circa 211-209/8. Diademed head of Antiochos III to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ
PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Xerxes II to Artaxerxes II, circa 420-375 BC. Daric (Gold, 18 mm, 8.33 g, 12 h), Lydo-Milesian standard, Sardes
