  1. Hi Curtisimo, Enjoyed your writeup - here’s my example of the Caesar Aeneas type:
  2. Hi Donna, Thanks for another interesting post. Here’s my example of 487/1.
  3. First time poster.. Happy to be here! I have been interested in coins related to Sulla for a long time.. For a long time my dream coin was a good example of the Sulla's dream denarius. I had acquired a "dog" version early on with the idea to upgrade if I could get something better.. Apologies for the poor photo - but it's not much better in hand! A number of years went by, and I was finally able to obtain a good example.. Ex. Roberto Russo collection, Numismatic Fine Arts Auction XXVII 12/4-5/1991, lot 580. Sear Roman Coins and their Values Plate Coin, Sear History and Coinage of the Roman Imperators 164 (this coin, illustrated). In reference to the original poster - there are actually 2 coins portraying Sulla - the one you acquired - congratulations, and the rare Aureus with Sulla on horseback .. an example sold in the Triton sale in 2017 - unfortunately not mine!
