I’ve missed the last few emperors in this thread, but thankfully made it in time to post my favorite Constantine I portrait (where he looks like he put on 50 pounds and grew out some long skinny sideburns).   15. I always like how young Tacitus looks in his portraits…he was supposedly 75 years old at the time, must have had some great work done on that face 😃 Tacitus, AE Antoninianus. 275-276 AD.   16. Finally made our way through the Gallic Empire…happy to be back in this thread! These are my two favorites of Claudius Gothicus: Claudius II Gothicus, Antoninianus. Rome. (22mm, 2.92g), Obv: DIVO CLAVDIO, Radiate bust right/ Rev: CONSECRATIO, Altar. RIC V 1275 Claudius II Gothicus, (24 mm, 4.00 g), Rome, 268-269 A.D., Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Claudius II to right, seen from behind/. Rev. VIRTVS AVG Virtus standing front, head to l., holding olive-branch in r. hand and scepter in l.; shield set on ground at feet. RIC 109. And a flip-over double strike—with 2 portraits for the price of one: Claudius II Gothicus, AE Antoninianus (24.95mm, 3.71 g), Siscia, 268-270 A.D, Radiate and cuirassed bust of Claudius II right/ Rev.   17. Valerian: 2 imperial and a big provincial bronze (each with completely different portrait styles) Valerian I, Cilicia, Corycus, (AE 36 mm, 20.02 g). Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian I to right./ Rev. Dionysos standing left, holding bunch of grapes (or kantharos) in right hand and thyrsos in left; at feet to left, panther; before him, prize urn inscribed ΘΕΜΙΑ and containing grain-ear and poppy set on tripod. (I especially like the Titus) My favorite dual portrait coin is this Alexandria tet with the unusual Nero-Tiberius pairing: Nero, Tetradrachm, Alexandria, (22 mm, 13.54g), 66-67 AD, NEPΩ KΛAY KAIΣ ΣEB ΓEP AY, Radiate bust of Nero to left, wearing aegis; Rev.   20. I only have two coins of T-Bone, one provincial and one imperial: Trebonianus Gallus, 251-253, Seleucis and Pieria, Antioch, AE Octassarion (30 mm, 18.53 g). And here’s a Volusian with some cool 1970s sideburns and a moustache…I’ve always thought that he looks like a young Burt Reynolds in this one: Volusian, AR Antoninianus (20mm, 4.67 g), Antioch mint, 4th officina. 3rd issue, 252-253 AD. IMP C C VIB VOLUSIANVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind/ AEQVITAS AVG, Aequitas standing left, holding scales and cornucopia; IV in exergue. Herennia Etruscilla My two favorite imperial portraits of Decius: Right and left-facing tets of Decius from Antioch: Hostilian Hostilian, as Caesar, Moesia Superior, Viminacium, (AE 26.5mm, 12.50 g).
