  1. I posted a few mineral specimens on the appropriate threads on the other site and they were all mine. I know some like expat others also posted their own finds. Sorry but I don't recall seeing many internet specimens in the last 3-4 years I thought this group had stopped the CT bashing and put that disaster behind them and moved on for the better
  2. I spend more time reading than posting because my ancient coins are general low end and haven't been too active. I have nice owl, Alex Tet, and mediocre Vespasian Judea Capta, but the rest are ratty Ants, Denarii, and LRB. But I do have most of the RIC volumes along Sear, Van Meter, Vagi, and others. I got a lot of practice attributing the low end stuff and learned a lot, so I guess the coins were useful after all. My avatar is Jr Hoopster(#44)
  3. No hockey likeness, but since somebody else posted one, here's a basketball reference. Sorry for stretching the thread. Note: not my coin, but I liked the image. I think I pulled it off of CT a few years ago to show my son, so it may actually belong to someone here. Not a huge hockey fan but grew up near Pittsburgh (before they wore black and gold, and had Lemieux) and cheer for the Pens. For no apparent reason, I'm leaning towards the Avs in the cup
  4. Another Phosphate Mineral Lazulite in kyanite-quartzite matrix from Graves Mountain GA MgAl2(PO4)2(OH)2 With deep appreciation for the members of the Aiken Gem and Mineral club who showed a newbie their secret spot and helped me find this nice specimen about 20 years ago on a club field trip
  5. A whole herd of 5 Kopeks. I have about twenty+ 2x2 boxes and it's always easy to find the box with the Russian coins due to the weight
  6. All are from manufacturing processes r R&D that I've worked on. Primarily high tech ceramic materials, SiC, various stabilized and partially stabilized ZrO2 minerals, a borosilicate based glass ceramic, and a couple copper trees from a plating process. They may look natural but aren't.
  7. Looking forward to the medieval posts. Both coins and literature
