Anyone expert here who can pinpoint where it was made? In the "White Gold " book. They speculate on Delphi or Athens??????

I am thinking nothing more can be said then "Ionia Uncertain".

The weight is typical for the region: Lydian-Milesian system.

For me the incusum shape relatively close to the so called "horse head" serie. So, it can be somewhere near in the "Ionia Uncertain" also with dates, because "horse head" serie coins was found in earliest layers in Artemision: before 640-620 BCE.

An interesting rarity, ,@panzerman. CNG did have 2 similar coins 48th stater (0.3g vs. your 1/24 stater; Phokaic standard)

Leu had a similar coin, again 1/24th stater, in Web Auction 7, Lot 1278 24-Oct-2020 Apparently unpublished and unique, a very interesting issue.

The second CNG ex. is a match to my Concordia 1/24 ex.

Leu 1/48 ex. more worn also matchs mine.

Electrum Staters/ fractions are fun to collect and most are very rare. There is also a mystique to having coins that are "uncertain"☺️ and are rarer then Brasher Doubloons that sell for $5-8M.
