Got this from an uncleaned / mixed lot, any idea what it might be? Bronze, 31mm, looks like Lucius Verus / Commodus / Antoninus?

More details: around 31mm wide, looks like bronze. I’d say a Sestertius, although the lack of legends (or traces of them) makes me think it’s just a fake / bad replica. Might just be very worn though!

It came like this, so I didn’t touch it, not sure if it has already been cleaned, not even sure it’s real to be honest. 

I’m torn between Hadrian / Marcus Aurelius / Antoninus Pius / Lucius Verus / Commodus, the hairstyle and beard make me think of them. 

I cracked open ERIC II and I’m looking at all the reverses, but so far I’m not sure I have identified it 😕 I’m scared of cleaning it, I think there’s nothing more to do.

Another user on Reddit identified it as a possible cast copy of this Cavino medallion of Lucius Verus:

Looks like it, although the edge seems old, but I’m not great at recognising fake / real sestertii!

The 'fro on the portrait looks like Lucius Verus to me.
