I was asked about Caligula as a gift...

Mother enquired about how much does a Caligula cost?  She wants to buy one as a gift.  I looked on both vcoins and ma-shops, but there were no decent (a couple would have been acceptable, but they looked like they might have BD) asses for less than $400.  Antioch is rare and Alexandria doesn't have any portrait types that I  know of.

I had replied to the query that the most common one is an as, and a decent one would be $200+, etc.  The LCS had a quite nice one a couple of years ago for $225.  I'm still bummed that I didn't get it.

Are there some other fixed price sites, which don't overlap with vcoins?

There's this, but it's corroded and I'm a bit worried about BD.  Are the purply bits indicators of treated BD in the past?  I may be wrong, but I read that a long time ago.  The green may just be the hard kind of verdigris, but I don't want to take the chance.

Dad deserves better than BD.  I don't think she'd go for the $500 one, though.
