First the hunt, and coin deciding. Then the order, and the waiting. Excitement slowly growing. An early Christmas present soon arriving. I know, bad poetry 😉 Any good stories about the waiting out there?

I have 6 shipments in limbo. We have a postal strike now for 3 weeks. No mail in or out. The Govt. will not intervene/ Canada Post will not give in to CUPE demands. So, mite have to wait a LOOOOOOOONG time🙃 Still good to send wires before Canuck Buck sinks even more in value/ just never get a break.

My longest wait:

I bought the four volumes of GRPC Lydia, which was then to be delivered directly by a Turkish publishing house. After one month nothing, after two months nothing, after three months the promise to deliver another copy. Again nothing. At some point I gave up.
But then, almost exactly a year later, the parcel carrier suddenly turned up at the door with my GRPC Lydia. Dispatch date: one week before.
