-monolith- Posted Wednesday at 11:26 PM · Member Posted Wednesday at 11:26 PM I posted this question about a month ago: https://www.numisforums.com/topic/7650-help-with-seleucid-kingdom-antiochus-identification/#comment-99940 I looked thru my typical research databases, catalogs and books yet I couldn't find a similar coin. All the published bronze coins of Antiochus II and III have an obverse portrait of Apollo or Antiochus appearing as Apollo. Yet this coin has a very unusual portrait that appears to be of Antiochus III as himself. I know there are some Seleucid Kingdom experts out there with a lot more knowledge than I, so what do you think? No Anchor below or controls in the right / left fields so I do believe this is a coin of Antiochus III. Bust of Antiochus III. 4 Quote
