Anaximander Posted November 15, 2024 · Member Posted November 15, 2024 Here is a quick and fun test of knowledge. It is not too arcane or too long. Try it! Just be sure to read the instructions for each question (they're usually, but not always, choose the best answer; some are choose all that apply). Quiz: How well do you know your Romans? 3 Quote
AncientCoinnoisseur Posted November 15, 2024 · Member Posted November 15, 2024 That was fun, thanks! I got 87%, I almost got 100 but I got the one on the origin of gladiator games wrong, although I had almost chosen the right one! 🙂 1 Quote
Benefactor Ancient Coin Hunter Posted November 15, 2024 · Benefactor Benefactor Posted November 15, 2024 Missed a couple. I have one quibble on the parameters of a question but won't spoil it for others. Quote
ambr0zie Posted November 15, 2024 · Member Posted November 15, 2024 Just 75%. Not the best phrasing out there. Quote

CPK Posted November 15, 2024 · Supporter Posted November 15, 2024 Hmm, I can't access the quiz. Quote
Anaximander Posted November 17, 2024 · Member Author Posted November 17, 2024 Sorry, @CPK. Try again? It still works for me. I don't know if the issue is some kind of geo-location/ISP/VPN thing, your browser (cache), or subscription/login. I am logged into the site (automatically on open) and a subscriber to their History magazine. I am uncertain where and when you run into their paywall. Quote
Benefactor Ancient Coin Hunter Posted November 17, 2024 · Benefactor Benefactor Posted November 17, 2024 I think you have to enter your email address to get access to the quiz. I did. Got a short email from National Geographic welcoming me, but not too spammy. 1 Quote
Bannerknight Posted November 18, 2024 · Member Posted November 18, 2024 It worked well for me, tried two different browsers (Edge and Firefox). Maybe if copy and paste the entire address? https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/article/ancient-roman-history-quiz Quote
CPK Posted November 18, 2024 · Supporter Posted November 18, 2024 The link works, but before I can start on the quiz this window pops up and I can't get around it. I don't feel like giving them my email address. Quote

Sorry I could not be of more help. 1 Quote
