I'd love to have an EID MAR denarius (or hey, since we're dreaming, make that an aureus.)

Of course this one would be a must-have as well:

After those, I'm not sure...when the options are limitless, it's hard to make a list!

Ok... then I dream about this one: "The "Red Kangaroo" from the Australian Perth Mint measures 80 centimetres in diameter and is 12 centimetres thick alone. Such large numbers conceal a corresponding amount of gold: the XXL kangaroo weighs 1.012 tonnes."

After I get this 1.012 tonnes of gold - and sell it - in can buy all my other dream coins... and more.

This coin is unlisted in RIC, BMCRE, Cohen, Strack and Sear. It's apparently unique and in a museum (Münzkabinett der Universität Göttingen AN-0291, so it's one of those coins I can only dream about. Its reverse depicts Cybele riding in a biga of lions ...

Faustina dream coin 5.jpg

... and the only thing cooler than that is Cybele riding in a quadriga of lions, which I DO HAVE in my collection:

Domna MATER AVGG Cybele Lion Quadriga Denarius.jpg
Julia Domna, AD 193-217.
Roman AR denarius, 3.30 g, 19 mm, 6 h.
Rome, 21st emission, AD 205.
Obv: IVLIA AVGVSTA, bare-headed and draped bust, right.
Rev: MATER AVGG, Julia Domna, as Cybele, seated left in quadriga of lions and holding branch in her right hand.
Refs: RIC 562; BMCRE 48; Cohen/RSC 117; RCV 6592; Hill 759; CRE 354.

Your Domna is one of my dream coins! I've never seen the other one before. Do you doubt its authenticity?

I'd have less doubt were there more than one example in the whole world. Its style and fabric look good from the photo, though.

What about all the odd-looking scratches on the obverse? And Cybele is rendered in a rather peculiar way, I think. But, who knows?

I've always wanted a coin of Julian of Pannonia, but unfortunately they're rather pricey.

A *slightly* more realistic grail for me would be an antoninianus of Pacatian, Jotapian, Regalian or Dryantilla, like this one of Pacatian coming up for sale in the next Naville auction.

I do have my eye on another grail not mentioned here, that is coming up for sale soon. I've saved a decent bit of money to (hopefully) spend on it, although I'm sure it will go out of my budget range. I will certainly make a post if I win it though!

There are certainly many coins I still wish to acquire but I'm fortunate to own most of my "dream coins". However, one which will probably remain impractical to acquire is this Akragas tetradrachm, with an absolutely incredible Skylla on the reverse:

Here's a coin type, which will probably remain a dream coin type, a cast Roman Republic Janus as, also called a Janus "aes grave". I like the primitive beauty of it, and the history of it, and the interesting beliefs of the Roman people about the supernatural, which are shown on it. It will probably remain a dream coin type, unless I somehow become extremely wealthy, because of my limit, that I am willing to spend, on a single coin. This is not my coin. I don't know, who owns this coin. Perhaps someone on this forum. If so, then nice coin.
