"A Roman coin dating back to the Roman Empire in Alexandria."

Hello everyone,

I'm Shaimaa from Egypt. I love collecting and keeping antique items. I got this coin from an Egyptian dealer, and I believe it’s very old, to the point that it's worn and has some mold on it. I think it dates back to the Roman or Greek Empire, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any information that could help and what is the value of the historical coin?

This is a modern cast copy of an imitation medallion for the Emperor Commodus. The original was made by Giovanni da Cavino of Padua in the 1500's and his creations are sometimes called "paduans"

here is a nicer example
