I collect coins of Alexander the Great. This is the posthumous Babylon stater.

Wow, what a beauty of such an iconic type! My Drachm can't quite contend.

As much as i dislike him, he certainly came up with great designs! One of the few things he did better than the Persians, whose designs lack the artistry (in most cases):

Although he did certainly take a peek at a Persian design for it 😅

...dang!....now that's what i call a 'purchase'..extraordinare...there's gold in them thar coins...very nice indeed!..in my collection i just have lowly silver n bronze...:)

The Macedonian also had nice drachmas from his lifetime that circulated in Asia Minor. For example, sardi, milet, abydos.
