I like pressing the Easy button.  I usually have a group of pre-selected coins bookmarked, ready to go.  My giftee's wants weren't too hard, although circumstances jettisoned the bookmarked coins.  I ended up spotting a nice piece at a good deal, so I changed plans.

It turns out well that a formerly favorite dealer screwed up and didn't obey the Saturnalia mailing instructions.  I then had to look for a coin, pronto.  It was most fortunate that Forum had a great deal on a Seleucid tetradrachm (or shekel, in this case), and doubly fortunate that it brought a lot of enjoyment, as did CPK's very generous present from last year.

Just a reminder to everyone that we are 1 week away from our final round of pairings on Dec. 1st. We have a pretty good size group for the second pairing already so if you are on the fence about participating just know that there is still some time to join in the fun.

Io Saturnalia.

A friendly reminder, if you write "Saturnalia" on the package it'll let your giftee know what it is so they don't accidently open it before the big day.

When I'm not sure what it is that's come for me in the mail I'll have my wife open it so it doesn't spoil the surprise. She's lost both her thumbs, an eye, and can tell you what anthrax smells like but hey no spoilers for me!

Received mine in the mail today!  🥳 Now for the hard part, having it sit on my desk for two weeks without being able to open it. 😬😄

The package to my Secret Saturnalia went out today! It's always a major challenge to find something someone else will like.

I did something a bit different this year. I hope it's well received. 🙂
