"From the Philip Ashton Collection" -- who is Philip Ashton?

While researching the provenance of a recent purchase, I note a reference to the "Philip Ashton Collection" in a record of a previous sale in November 2020. I googled "Philip Ashton" + "Collection" and only found other coins listed with this provenance, but nothing about Mr. Ashton himself. Does anyone know anything about who he is and about his collection?
