Strange Patina

Hmmm. Not sure how a coin could look like this, but I guess maybe dirt? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any replies.

It's just a toned silver coin.

SIlver oxide is black. The silver in this has toned and the coin has been rubbed on the high points to show the silver beneath.
