Any tooling or smoothing in this As of Claudius?

I'm not an expert, but it certainly appears tooled + smoothed to me, particularly on the reverse.

Zun, you ask if a LOT of coins are real, fake, smoothed, tooled, etc.

Not sure who you buy coins from, but I'd recommend not buying from them anymore and using trustworthy auction houses going forward. 

If you are asking about this coin I worry you've already purchased other, not so obvious, fakes.

The style looks off on that one. That's a really strange portrait for Claudius. I wouldn't buy that coin at all. It's a common coin and you should spend the money on something that isn't so iffy.

Really bad portrait - tooled or possibly barbaric copy or both! As  @Roman Collector said, it's a rather common coin. I would pass on it.

There is a lot of variation in this type and a lot of barbarous versions. But if you look through the examples, you should be able to see if the style is right. Usually, if it has been tooled the hair will not look much like anything else. With this type, usually it is very worn, so anything with no wear needs looking at.

Completely tooled.  That hairstyle does not exist on genuine coins.  In the end it looks mostly re-done.
