Blocked from the British Museum Online Collection!!

I went to look at a few coins at the British Museum as I have done hundreds of times before without problems and I got this screen!!

Anybody have any idea why?? Is this happening to anyone else? I certainly have never done anything malicious to the museum's web page. This seriously hampers my ability to research coins.

If you’re name is Guy Fawkes and you’re a member of the group Anonymous, maybe it’s the reason why you’ve been blocked…?

Thanks for letting me know. This header/explanation doesn't do the blocked users any good, though -- they can't see it!

Working for me too, same note that @shanxi reports - my first attempt in these situations: try and alternate browser or turn your VPN on/off?

Switched browsers, vpns on and off. Also tried disabling ad blockers etc. No luck. Their website will have to sort it.

I tried with my VPN on and off and it works for me - I just get the same banner message that @shanxi does.

Yeah something is very wrong with the site at the moment.  I currently get the prompt to accept cookies, and from there I can do nothing.

Hopefully they are back up and running shortly, it's an essential resource.
