JRhino Posted October 6, 2024 · Member Posted October 6, 2024 I have found what appears to be a Tiberius Ceasar Bible Tribute Penny. I can’t seem to find the exact one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 5 1 1 Quote

Roman Collector Posted October 6, 2024 · Patron Posted October 6, 2024 The various types are distinguished by small differences in the reverse design. Yours features a throne with ornate legs and a three-layer base; the female figure holds an inverted spear. Like this one, which has been my avatar here for some years. Tiberius, AD 14-37. Roman AR Denarius, 3.87 g, 18.5 mm, 5 h. Lugdunum, AD 16-37. Obv: TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, laureate head, right. Rev: PONTIF MAXIM, Female figure seated right, holding long olive branch and inverted spear; legs of chair ornate, triple line below. Refs: RIC 28; BMCRE 42-44; RSC 16b; RCV 1763 var. Notes: The identity of the female figure on the reverse is uncertain and has been variously identified as Livia, Justitia or Pax. 3 Quote

Could find many similar variations but not the exact one. 1 Quote

Mucius Scaevola Posted October 7, 2024 · Member Posted October 7, 2024 Here's mine, recently bought to fill this awful hole in the collection. Will make new pics soon. But that's a coin type where I accept a less beautiful style, not to pay 1.5k. 9 Quote
