Benefactor robinjojo Posted October 1 · Benefactor Benefactor Share Posted October 1 I don't think it would hurt the coin to let it soak in distilled water for an hour or two, with some checking during the soak. The deposits might loosen up; it all depends on how hard they are. You could also use a toothpick to help remove or mitigate the deposits.
ela126 Posted October 1 · Member Share Posted October 1 Definitely some potential from cleaning. soaking and qtips to start. If the patina is nicely intact and solid, brushing and other methods can help too.
