Robert Robert, It looks like you're building an excellent collection ☺️! Do you have a copy of Richard McAlee's book: The Coins of Roman Antioch 🤔? I sold all my bronze coins of Roman Antioch except the coin pictured below.

Ocatarinetabellatchitchix Posted September 28 · Member Share Posted September 28 My only one is Diadumenian. I remember @Justin Lee had an impressive collection of emperors from this city, but haven’t heard from him for a while…

ambr0zie Posted September 28 · Member Share Posted September 28 I have 8 coins from Antioch of this type. I like the artistry for the portraits (I think the engravers were from Rome or seriously trained in Rome). Highlights - my first Augustus coin - I was very thrilled when realizing I own an Augustus coin. A very nice Claudius An Otho - the most affordable method to obtain an Otho coin.

Robi Posted September 28 · Member Author Share Posted September 28 @ambr0zie good Otho - with countermark (i think it is Athena on countermark?) I bought mine Otho i similar condition for only 18 euro, sometimes sellers misidentify him with Nero or Claudius 😉

Correct, - Howgego 245 - Athena facing right with shield and spear. On another topic we are discussing about great deals - I paid 36 euros + fees for mine and I always thought it was the best deal in the history of mankind, but here is the counterexample 🙂 Edited September 28 by ambr0zie 1

hotwheelsearl Posted September 28 · Member Share Posted September 28 Neat. I once bought a lot of 100+ Antioch coins and not a single caracalla radiate! To keep with your Caracalla radiate theme, here's my best one.
