porphyrogenita Posted August 4 · Member Posted August 4 Hello! In November 2023 I bought a Faustina the Elder sestertius from Carthago Numismatics that had Tiber patina, but I returned it because I felt it didn't fit in my collection. Recently I saw a post from someone on here (or on Coin Talk) where they had the same coin I had purchased! I find it awesome that it found a home, but I'm making this post because I can't remember who ended up owning it. If the sestertius photo attached below matches yours, please reply to help solve this mystery :)) (also apologies for the screenshot's weird formatting, Google Sheets is being uncooperative) 4 Quote
Roman Collector Posted August 5 · Patron Posted August 5 Not me. My specimen is patinated. It IS an attractive coin, though. 7 Quote
Julius Germanicus Posted August 5 · Member Posted August 5 This particular Sestertius has one of the finest Tiber Patinas I have ever seen in hand. I am glad you sent it back because now it is a highlight of my collection 🤩 3 1 Quote
