Revised coins are those that have been recently restored with a graver to make them appear to be more valuable coins than they really are. They are generally old coins and the vast majority are bronze coins (aces, sesterces, dupondios, maiorinas...) since gold and silver are much harder metals that make the marks of manipulation too evident.

Silver and gold are much softer than bronze... but it is still not good.
