Would you loan a part of your collection for science?

I'm looking to do a metallurgical study on large module bronzes from the 3rd century (Roman imperial). I have a great setup with a late model XRF analyzer but am lacking access to a sufficient number of these coins. So this is in an appeal to see if anyone here wouldn't mind sparing some of their sestertii and dupondii for a few days. Condition doesn't matter as long as the coin can be positively identified to a ruler.

In return I will provide free XRF analysis of each which I'm hoping will be of interest; maybe even increase its value a bit. To grease the skids I'd be okay with XRF'ing some coins outside of this period if you want. As a paid service this is typically a pretty pricey endeavor so hopefully seen as an opportunity. Altogether I'm hoping to get at least 100 coins so I realize this will involve several collectors.  Results will be tallied and published in my next ERIC series but will be made accessible right away.

If you're interested please email me at rasiel5@gmail.com to make arrangements.

Many thanks,

Rasiel
