Last coin of the year

Tejas

Recommended Posts

This is probably my last coin of 2022. I have some more coins to arrive, but this one turned up today and the rest will probably arrive only in january. It is an Antoninian of Valerian I

Weight: 4.50 g, 22mm
Ref.: RIC 87

Not a rare coin, but the obverse is particularly nice and I like the portrait, which is somewhat unusual.

The portrait is fantastic... somehow he gives the impression that he had had a hard (all-night) night when the artist made a portrait for the coin.
The rings around his eyes are heavy 😄

Btw... I think every day (last days) - ok this is now my last coin this year. And then I see the next coin. So... 🙂

Very nice and a good end to the year. The portrait ir very pleasing.

My past week has been busier with purchaes than the previous 3 months.

I doubt that my last purchases of the year will make it to me this year (we have major postal strikes in the UK). It odes mean that I hope to start the New Year off well.
