Al Kowsky Posted December 6, 2022 · Member Share Posted December 6, 2022 While browsing through the artifacts listed in CNG E-Auction 529, from Ken Dorney Collection, I noticed the provenance on lot 950, ex Desmond Morris Collection (Christie's, 5 November 2001). Desmond Morris is a world renown author & anthropologist who wrote one of my favorite books, The Naked Ape. I read this book while going to the Army Signal School in Fort Gordon, Georgia, & it made a lasting impression on me 😊. Desmond Morris was also a consultant to one of my favorite movies, Quest for Fire, staring Rae Dawn Chong, Everett McGill, & Ron Perlman.
