Helmets on Ancient Greek Coins

Wasn't decorating trophies  originally a Greek thing anyway?   Are there any confirmed contemporary images of Seleukos l ?  What really is the meaning of the Panther skin  and those horns?  Demetrios Poliorketes  had horns on his portrait coins of the Neptune/ Poseidon type  . To be Alexander, the portrait looks of a more chunky person, I believe Alexander was portrayed more Athletic!   Wasn't the coins meant for redundant mercenaries from Sicily?

I don't know  Does anyone?
