Qcumbor Posted January 9 · Supporter Posted January 9 Not the best ever. For years I wanted a zecchino that had inspired the one minted for Anne-Marie Louise d'Orleans, princesse souveraine de la Dombes. Here it is : ITALY. Venezia (Venice). Francesco Molino, 1646-1655. Zecchino (Gold, 20 mm, 3.48 g, 3 h). FRANC•MOLINO - S•M•VENET St. Mark standing right, holding book of Gospels in his left hand and presenting banner inscribed DVX to doge Francesco Molino, kneeling to left and raising his head toward the saint. Rev. SITT•XPE•DAT•Q•TV REGIS•ISTE•DVCAT Christ, nimbate, standing facing in mandorla with seventeen stars, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left. Benefactor DonnaML Posted January 12 · Benefactor Author Benefactor Posted January 12 After more than two years, I've finally changed the title of this thread to take out the "not from the UK" part. The reasons I had at the time for restricting the thread that way no longer exist, so the thread is now completely open to modern gold coins from anywhere. 3 Quote
