  1. As far as probus prices are concerned, it was on the higher end especially for a relatively common type, but wasn't outrageous for sure. I am curious about the surface of the coin. Is it billon with decent silver content or was at a point silvered, got completely stripped and the metal beneath toned?
  2. Well the hammer was 95 eu. For 3rd cent coin seemed a little steep.
  3. Damn, I struggle to find one decent valerian and you come up with 3 handsome lads.
  4. Thanks guys. Artemide had some killer romans this time. I may have overpaid a little for Probus but overall i am satisfied cheers!
  5. Busted🥲 Yes pretty nice auction this time! What did you win mate?
  6. I rarely aim at commodus coins but always browse all the emperors on auctions. Saw the portrait and was hooked
  7. Jarring difference indeed. What was the most consistent mint , quality wise ,through the centuries i wonder.
  8. Nicely put! Marcus, Lucius and Commodus have very similar styles
  9. Greetings, Excited to share my latest wins after a long hiatus. Probus strained my wallet a little too much but loved the overall aesthetic. Commodus has many issues with its condition but a fine portrait of his is a rare sight! Commodus (177-192). AR Denarius, 181-182 AD. Obv. M COMMODVS ANTONINVS AVG. Laureate head right.
