  1. For Aurelian this website is also useful: https://ric.mom.fr/en/home I think your coin is #1695: https://ric.mom.fr/en/coin/1695 On OCRE they have it as being minted in Siscia while on MER-RIC they have minted in Rome
  2. Great idea for a thread. Like @expat I have chosen a Carinus coin from the Lugdunum mint: Apparently that is Carinus himself posing on the reverse
  3. Some great London coins so far! So many types here that I don't have - I would particular like to own an ADVENTVS AVG like the ones shown by @Severus Alexander and @Harry G and also any coin of Carausius or Allectus. So far I have not been able to find a decent one of those in my price range. Here's a couple I don't think we've had yet. Constantine I - SARMATIA DEVICTA: And a Constantine I camp gate (I can only see Crispus so far in the thread):
  4. Love it @David Atherton! This thread is making me want to expand my hippo collection 🦛. I know we've already seen Otacilia multiple times in this thread, but I can't resist sharing mine too.
  5. Interesting coin @Shea19! I really like the "reverse" with both sides of the coin clearly visible. Like you, I don't collect error coins but I think I'd also have been tempted to add that to my collection if I'd seen it. I have a double strike as well, albeit not a flip-over like yours. The obverse of this Gallienus is double struck, but the two strikes are aligned at quite a close angle. This results in an evenly spaced obverse legend of GALLIENVSS AVG - with an extra S, and a big chunk has been taken out of Gallienus's neck. You can see evidence of the double strike most clearly around his nose and chin.
  6. My Juno coin is the same as the OP type, except Faustina is shown wearing a stephane. RIC III 698. It's also one of the nicest ancient coins I own in terms of condition, I really like the detail
