  1. I have seen some coins from the Latin Kingdoms of Jerusalem / Antioch with this type of mix of characters from the 12th-13c - this being said, I don't recall ever seeing SALU on their issues, and some quick poking around hasn't yielded anything. Ill try diving into my physical library this evening, and I'll let you know if I turn anything up.
  2. Now, I will preface this by saying that it could be 'crud' playing tricks on me, and so I offer this potential attribution with the caveat that I would need the coin in hand to be sure. This being said, it appears to be the 'narrow 9 over inverted 9' variety - note that although not identical to the illustrated, I have found slight variance in many of these over the years. This type rates quite highly in the cat (around 40x the basic type). Potentially nice find!
  3. @maridvnvm the first of your Canadian Cents appears to be one of the varieties (tough to say for sure / which one without any enhanced photos of the second 9. Could you perhaps post a close-up (of good resolution) of the second 9, that way I can pop out my Charlton and let you know 🙂
  4. That '38 Polish 50gr appears to be the nickel type, which was struck under the Polish 2nd Republic in 38-39. The occupation issues are nickel plated or zinc.
  5. My avatar is my company logo, which is derived from the crest that is still on my grandparent's print works in Krakow (the factory is now luxury living spaces, as it is very central, and a Deco building from the early 1930s). It consists of the Lion of Krakow holding a roll of paper, and was likely designed by my grandmother, who did quite a bit of graphic design for my grandfather's firm.
